Champion:  The most important element of organizing a team is appointing a qualified team leader who’s ready and able to lead the project team’s day-to-day efforts. Champion’s aren’t necessarily expected to lead teams, but they are responsible for finding leaders who have the technical, project management, Six Sigma and people skills required to ensure the project’s successful outcome.

Black Belt: full time responsibility to improve the organization and may be part of the leadership team. Black Belts have a through understanding of all aspects of the DMAIC model in accordance with Lean Six Sigma principles. They have basic knowledge of Lean enterprise concepts, are able to identify non-value-added elements and activities and are able to use specific tools. Leads process improvement projects.

Green Belt: operates in support of, or under, the supervision of a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, leads process improvement projects.

Yellow Belt:  for process improvement team members who will work under the direction of a Green Belt or Black Belt. Eight hour problem solving workshop.

White Belt: for all employees- One hour overview Lean Six Sigma Training.
