We reduce waste

We work with food manufacturers to reduce the variation and waste of their products.  These operations are more of an Art than Science. Most of these food companies have been focused on regulatory and safety but not Operational Excellence. We have found a significant gap in process and variation knowledge in these organizations. We have provided additional training, facilitation and mentoring of the operations personnel to better understand their processes.

Projects in the food industry are in the following areas:

  • 5S- create a better organized and visual workplace to reduce the time to start up a line, start up a shift or perform product changeovers
  • Lean Six Sigma- training in understanding variation, problem solving, control charts, etc. to turn this Art of baking into a Science.
  • Capability studies- understand if your production lines are capable of meeting customer requirements
